The Taylored Approach™ is an executive leadership consulting practice which assists clients in developing a dynamic, workable strategy to create the outstanding performance and stellar results in their professional lives.  We apply a focused approach to teaching clients what is really required for success in business.  It is NOT a cliché “top ten” list of things to keep track of, but rather a customized approach to the development of key personal and professional skills which make the difference in the marketplace.

 

The Taylored Approach™ is seeking a summer intern to assist with a variety of activities in three key areas – administrative structure and tools, workshop materials development, and research.  The following activities will be part of the work assigned:

 

¨       Determine best contact management program to use, based on marketing needs and growth plans, and then implement the system and transfer / update all contacts;

¨       Organize and update various electronic files for use in business;

¨       Define structure for electronic newsletter;

¨       Assist in the development of various client workshop materials;

¨       Assist in the preparation for workshop delivery;

¨       Research, and create actionable reports on, a variety of topics that pertain to business development efforts;

¨       Participate in external skills development activities and professional growth challenges;

¨       Participate in skills workshops conducted by The Taylored Approach™;

¨       Provide general administrative support.

 

This internship will be most appropriate for someone who wants to make the most out of their professional development opportunities and is seeking both an internship and a mentorship.  Aside from the work that will be conducted, the intern will learn a significant amount about leadership and personal success.  Some of the work will be exciting and interesting, some will be slightly monotonous; the internship overall will be a fantastic experience!

 

Intern Skill Requirements

 

¨       Candidate should have a professional demeanor and appearance, be motivated and energetic and have a friendly disposition; able to work in entrepreneurial environment without rigid structure;

¨       Candidate MUST have excellent writing skills (bring writing sample to interview) and sound verbal communication skills;

¨       Candidate must be able to proficiently use (or learn quickly and proficiently) basic business programs such as the Microsoft suite; it’s a bonus if you can use Photoshop or other, more advanced programs;

¨       Graduate and undergraduate students will be considered; open to any majors.

 

Internship Structure and Benefits

 

¨       Will be required to work in downtown office location

¨       Monday through Thursday 10am – 5pm; some Fridays (as needed)

¨       $750/month stipend

¨       Leadership development training and advice
